Lovely tutorial, thank you. :) You can use an embossing tool or a pen that has no ink in it. So much easier than messing about with disappearing ink etc.

Thanks! My child stole my original Maker when they moved out, and they're creating some amazing art works with it. I had considered getting a Maker 3 (and possibly swapping with them so they have the latest machine), but neither of us sees a lot of advantages in the upgrade for what we want to do. As I reflected on it, I don't cut much thicker materials like wood or leather and while I liked them I really don't need the other special tools (score, perforate, etc.). Now I'm pretty convinced I will be getting the Joy Xtra instead. Thanks for the review!
